    Default XtremePro to X3d

At the risk of sounding stupid, can I ask why when watching the xara help movies that there is a pop-up window that apparently allows you to open X3d while working in XXP?
How is this feature enabled in XXP 3.2 please?
Attached is a screendump taken in XXP while viewing movie ...

    Hi Kiwi,

That pop-up is not part of any Xara program that I am aware of. I believe it is a 3rd party add on to Windows to allow accessing the taskbar as a pop-up.

    Ummm Kiwi,

You could always trying pressing alt-tab... Each time you press tab with the alt key pressed you cycle through all the open windoze... At least in XP. Don't remember before and I don't own the latest version of windoze.

Tried to get you a screen shot, but print screen will not capture that little popup.

Vista and the Aero interface allow you to <Windows key>-tab instead, producing a 3D cascade of window sheets to scroll through. It's relatively fancy.

Yes the "switch between programs" in Vista is a new twist to the old theme

So is Vista worth it? Seems more like new coke to me...

Well, because it's new, there are a few teething problems - but nothing spectacular. For instance, file transfer is agonisingly slow until the service pack - in particular between a USB stick.

It's pretty, and pleasingly stable (unlike the version of Linux I'm using at work). It also allows you to play a ton of old games that XP wouldn't run - which is nothing short of wonderful.

There are a small number of Vista-only Xara bugs as well to be ironed out. Also, the Aero interface can interfere with cursor appearance etc. in Xara too. I think it's Xara's responsibility to fix though not MS but I might be wrong.

Thanks Xhris... I have heard it was a "new" coke kind of thing. Glad I haven't wasted any money on upgrading yet. I think a fisheye lense is a better investment at this point.
