Digital painting, for a poster for a contemporary, urban Asian Dance company , from my own photograph with Xara vector shapes and textured sections on top. Awaiting text as yet.

The Koh -I -Noor Diamond is world famous, many indian restaurants inthe UK back in the '70s were named after it. So yes, noor means light.
Back on topic, your work on your photo is very urban and contemporary, it has an almost "grunge" feel to it. I imagine this was exactly the effect you were looking for. Yet the whites of the eyes and the colour on the bottom lip have a very clean and sharp look. I like this very much.
I shall come back to look at this often.
This post almost passed me by, I was only away from the gallery for a few hours, and it had slipped to tenth place. It would have been a pity to miss it.
    Thanks for posting it.

One of the reasons for posting was to give this a rating, and in my excitement, I forgot!

Looks cool, but I would have prefered the photo myself... Scantily clad ladies are my favorite.

As always an excellent image. Please post it again when the text is added.

With text and funding logos etc.
Not very easy to read at this size I'm afraid.

I too am coming to a "point of stillness".

I now think the image looked far better without the text (?)

I like it all very much except that 'Noor'. For me that part just isn't working. My reaction may just be one to the font. I imagine it was chosen because of its fluidity in relation to dance. If there's still time, I'd suggest thinking more about 'the light' aspect and less about fluidity. Perhaps there's a better balance between the two. I do find the final colour of that 'Noor' more pleasing than the earlier version.

I think you did a great job of incorporating all the secondary text and logos.

    Regards, Ross
