Bitmap Effects

Trying to work out photorealism, and one step of the process included posterizing a bitmap. I accidentally found that it could be done well enough using only Xara with just transparencies, so I figured I'd post it. In the following .xar file, toggle the 'P' layers to see the posterizing effect, and toggle the 'B' layers for only the brightening effect. No XPE needed.

Ummm... Comparing sombody just experimenting with transparencies to a skilled PS junkie, isn't really a good comparison... You would be surpised the effects you can get with transparencies if you really tried...

Ah but John if you were only posterising to get the shading effects so that you can copy when you import it into Xara to make it a full blooded photo realistic vector this is a good way. Thanks David.
