Got a chance to install 3.2.2 version...

Working for the first days seems quite good, except one thing I noticed -- the new colors in the buttons of the "Arrange" palette (white/light grey) is pretty bad solution for me. Hard to locate function I need. Earlier white/gold color scheme was noticeable, and I didn't spend some time to understanding which button is for...

It will be OK later, but anyway, not very good changing IMHO.

    The Xara Xtreme downloads page (www.xara.com/downloads/xtreme/) now provides these updated version. These will install over the existing 3.2.1 version. Or you can download them directly from here;

    Xtreme trial download

    Xtreme Pro trial download

Here’s the list of the main changes since version 3.2.1:-

    Updated help

    • Fix for named object in name gallery not updating correctly after altering the export type (http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=27917)
    • Renaming of name in name gallery no longer resets export type (http://talkgraphics.com/showthread.php?t=27917)
    • Fix for RAW filter causing screen flashes on startup and document loading (http://www.talkgraphics.com/showpost...3&postcount=19)
    • Fix for mould errors when using shape editor tool to modify a moulded shape
    • Fix for problems importing 32 bit bmps
    • Fix for spot colors being omitted from CMYK TIFF exports
    • Fix for crash caused by accented characters in Open Type fonts
    • Fix for very large TIFF file crashing Xtreme due to insufficient memory
    • When dragging and dropping multiple image files onto Xtreme/Pro, all images are now added to the canvas (previously one image was omitted due to photo replacement behaviour)
    • Fix for problem where changing the color of one shape could unexpectedly change that of another (triggered by copying a shape with the color editor open with “give new objects most recent attributes” turned on).
So, should we download the 3.2.2 XPro or Wait for the Disk?
(if download, will we have to UnLock again/can it be UnLocked?) ...

    Thanks - Tom

I've had problems with the new icons, as well. And it hasn't gotten any better. I finally started breaking up the toolbars, eliminating any icons for functions I normally keyboard and putting only closely related icons on each little toolbar. That way, the toolbar boundaries act as separators and, with fewer icons in a segment, it's easier to to recognize the tool in the sequence.

    I already had Xtreme 2.0e in C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme\

I got the Xtreme 3.2 DL version and installed it into the C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara Xtreme 3.2\ folder. I then opened it, closed it, ran it, unlocked it, closed it. I then re-booted, launched the 3.2.2 upgrade and then opened Xtreme 3.2.2. It opened with no new requests for an unlock code and is now running fine.

    I'm on Vista, BTW.
Soi, How is Xara on Vista?

    Lightbulb Re: New 3.2.2 update

anyone heard any news about a possible vista 64BIT version of Xara working soon?

I`m still waiting but may end up waiting till christmas or new years 08 haha.
Have to use illustrator in the meantime, Im really starting to appreciate
the consistency of illustrator, its not as hot as Xara but atleast it works for me
Ive had lots of glitches on screen after using the edge feather tool
with 64bit inside of Xara..even if someone tells me theres no immediate
plans for 64bit vista support then atleast I can choose my direction.

I just feel left out, everyone else is enjoying Xara pro the new upgrade
and I`m just sitting here but not part of the party.

I just sent the following to Xara support because of a seemingly large delay in getting the Upgrade CD and thought I might ask here. Anyone know if there has been a delay in shipping to the States?

    Dear Xara support people,

You can see my order of the CD to upgrade Xara Xtreme was confirmed by you on Friday, June 22, 2007 11:30 AM
I have not received the CD or any notification and it is 37 days past this
    confirmation date.

To avoid bugs and reload problems I never download the "trial version" and
always wait for the CD to arrive. Is this a problem?

Was it sent, are there other "issues" or is there something else I must do?

    Thanks for any help,

    Bob C.

I also don`t have the CD, and I am in europe/netherlands.
I think it just takes long to get them out.
