    Did you use Xenofex for that? Looks a lot like their plug in with some additional beveling.

    Looks to me like a cross section of a tarmac or concrete surface and substructure. And yes, why the voids?

    On my monitor, I don't see voids. I see some areas where the mosaic texture is dark, but the texture is nonetheless there.

    Thanks guys

    Some tiles are missing. I thought the effect was more southwest.
    Yes I used the Xenofex2 plugin.
    To get the picture to show, I placed an original copy of the picture on the bottom and the mosaic live effect picture on top of it.
    Then I added stained glass transparency to the top picture.
    Finished it off by adding lighting effects with photo paint.

    It's called grout (the stuff that takes up the space between tiles) when you do tile work which a real mosaic is.
