Error when trying to slice an image

Hello,

I hope someone can help!

I am a long-time user of PSP and now am using PSP XI.

I have a .jpg that I want to slice up to use on a website. I even tried resaving the image as .pspimage and it still won't work.

I go to File > Export > Image Slicer and keep getting an error message that states: The attempted operation is not valid in the current program state.

Does anyone know what the heck that means and what I can do to fix it?
