Correct. I was under the assumption that you were talking about obtaining pure black lettering, which is how I have heard the term 'antialiasing' used. What you are wanting can still be done in Xara, it is just a complete pain in the butt, and you have to have an appropriate pixel font installed.

Thanks for pointing this out, by the way, didn't someone from Xara say that the rounded corner thing where stretch distorts the corners was fixed or changed so that when you stretched it would keep the rounded corners correct?

The selector tool will always scale objects - as it should. You can use the selector tool to maintain rounded corners if you have "show object edit handles" selected on the selector tool infobar (ctrl+shift+2).

When I first found this, it was dismissed by Xara as something that only affected me, and wasn't a big deal. Well, the evidence seems different now, and I knew it would come back and bite us all in the ass because it was so damned annoying. I've already found a way to faithfully reproduce this bug too (at least on WinXP) - fortunate seeing as it is mostly elusive; so it's cause isn't a complete mystery. Conversely though, I've not been bothered by it (i.e. seen it) in a long time since moving to Vista; maybe it is fixed (at least on Vista)? Other things have been mysteriously fixed too apparently - like Wacom Intuous 3 graphics tablet support.
