    I rotated the picture to enable a diagonal intersect.

    The stretched stripy pattern shape was then given a linear transparency and a little feathering.

    Such a neat idea from gnurf in the first place.

    hehe, super turtle. You can trace and mould for interesting results as was mentioned above.
