Brushes load very slowly

I have an irritating problem, I put some brushes to the brushes folder, and the software loads for about 1 minute, but when I choose from the brushes palette the brushes load very very slow. Somebody help me

I remember 7 years ago when Xara X was first introduced we found that adding brushes into the Brushes Gallery caused the program to load very slow and to slow down opening the Gallery.

The workaround was to place custom brushes into a folder outside the Gallery folder.

Indeed,

I always save my brush in the .xar file it was created in (not in a specific folder). Then, when I need that brush in another drawing, I open the first drawing with the brush and now it'll be available for all open .xar files, including the second drawing

Maybe I could delete the other stuffs and signs from the .xar files. Maybe Xtreme finds the brushes in a shorter time. Could it help?

Lpneo I don't think that would help. I think it is the number of files in a Gallery and not the number of Galleries.
