I think it should be a free upgrade for anyone who upgraded or purchased Pro in the beginning of the year. Especiallly since I purchased Xtreme near the end of '06 and upgraded to Pro in Dec '06 received in Jan. 07 and now expected to pay again!! (That is of course if I choose too upgrade.) I little sympathy for my wallet please.(Don't have a endless supply of Money)

I just downloaded the demo for the Photo clinic, pretty nice all things considered. I've grown fond of the XPE though so maybe they will take a little from there and integrate that in to Photo Clinic. One thing I don't care for so far is there are no docable galleries for the effects. There is a layers area but no way to add a blank layer that I can find so far and there is a brush "gallery" as well with quit a few controls for the brushes in tabs (which are fine for saving space but then again *click, click, click, click* to get to each area.... It's OK!

No glitchyness, no slowness that I could see and I really worked an image in it to make sure. Got a really nice paint selection tool and i think there is a way to color the selection as your painting it but I couldn't figure that out. It's not overly packed with features (like Photoshop or PSP) but rich enough with them just the same!

It normally retails for $19.00 (US) so I don't imagine the upgrade for Xtreme will be all the much folks. So don't worry about it until the time comes, OK??

I have recently downloaded and tried the magic photo thingy and to be honest it seems very slow and clunky. I hope very much that when incorporated with Xtreme it will have a little Xara magic used to tweak its performance and interface or at very least I hope it won’t affect Xtreme itself.

Just had a look at the produktinfo.pdf at magix.de
Correct me if i'm wrong,the most discussed feature in xxp was flash export and pdf import
but in this magix version there doesn't seem to be swf export and pdf import anymore??

as I understand it, the current magix upgrade release is an enhancement [or otherwise!] to xtreme and not xtremepro - that will come later?

Yea, i think your right. Basic PDF export from Xtreme (not Pro) should be there if I'm not mistaken?? Can't remember. I love Pro but I WILL upgrade Xtreme to this new version to at least give it a chance!

What demo?

Doesn't seem to be a demo on my magix.DE
Unless you mean another fotoclinic version
but I'm referring to MagixExtreme
which isn't available till 04 05 2007

Richard I also downloaded the Photo Clinic 6 and it does run smoothly on my work computer. It will take some time for me to get a real feel for using it's tools. It may have some changes to the interface and tools when the MAGIX Xtreme is released.
