make it glow

how cud i look make something look like it is glow or like light is coming from it?

try painting over the thing you want to glow with a white or yellow brush with the blending set to colour and the strength set to 10% then use the dodge tool at low strength.
Many other ways but things can get a bit complicated

Hi newyork2050,

1. Select the thing with the Lasso or Polygonal Lasso
(if you don't know how to select, here is a flash movie)
2. Create a layer via copy [Ctrl+J]
3. Pull down "Layer > Layer Style > Outer Glow" and set the glowing parameters - strength, color, etc.

NB If your object is already in separate layer (e.g. text or shape), skip the steps 1 and 2.
