Am I missing something, when I grab the base and change its color thats all that changes. Doesn't effect the "gel" top version.??

You may be forgetting to drag the colour from the colour line to the editor. When you click on the base the named colour will be identified by a diamond shape in the corner of the colour square on the colour line.

Drag that colour to the editor and when you change it the gel button will change.

Like Sharx above, following the directions, I could NOT get the button to change color. Yes, I dragged. I promise I follow instructions well! But this just wasn't working for me.

HOWEVER, I know the button colors are shades of each other.
So I opened the color editor, accessed the list of named colors in the dropdown and chose BUTTON near the bottom of the list. By dragging my mouse back and forth across the rainbow selection in the color editor, the button changes color beautifully.
