It's been quiet around here lately. Thought I'd play around with setting up a room in C4D. Here's what I've got so far.

Thanks John. You still have time to register for Randy's class. You can use any version of C4D, I used 8.0 during the class and upgraded to 8.5 during the class. I learned a lot and lots of fun too. Everything in this room is made using techniques I learned in the class.

Here's a small update. Changed the colour of the glass for the table top and the camera angle, added baseboards to the walls and added lamps to the wall beams.

Wow Bill, your doing great with C4D, set and room design is a very useful skill. You may want to look at Poser or download Daz studio and put your models to work.

Nice seats design too, Soquili !
However I am a little bit in trouble with their shadows on the ground. They seem a little bit suspended on the air.

    kindly,

Thanks Mike. I've been thinking about trying Poser. Not sure if my old brain can tackle too many learning experiences at once.

Thanks Ivan. You have a sharp eye. The chairs and sofas are supposed to have short legs?/feet? which I forgot to add.

Thanks Gidgit. Having fun as always. This started as just some practice extruding a subdivided cube. I got something that looked like a Fisher-Price or Playskool plastic chair. I decided to add cushions and textures (some I found on the C4D disks), this lead to making a sofa, which lead to making a room. Now I'm thinking of other items to add, like bookcase, windows, skylight, tables, lamps, etc.

Right on, you go for it Bill...

I look forward to viewing your further explorations.

Geez, you already have a desk and lamps etc from one of your early excersises... pretty soon you will need to model a whole house for all of this furniture

    Go Bill go
