Can I edit Text?

I was wondering if there is anyway I could change the shape of text... I mean after typing say "A"...change into shape and then play with it... I'm unable to do it... Any suggestions?

Hello purifier,

Try this:

• Select the letter
• Arrange > Convert to Editable Shapes
• Arrange > Ungroup
• Arrange > Ungroup (a second time)
• With the letter shape selected, go to town with Shape Editor Tool (F4)

I've noticed that phenomenon with needing to ungroup twice when converting a letter to an editable shape. I wonder why that is?

Once you have fiddled with the letters and in effect created you own font is there any way you can save the 'font' so that it appears in the font list when you use the text tool?

Oh my!! I could have never imagined that technique atleast... Thank you so much... I never thought I'd have to ungroup them twice... May I know the reason behind this?

And yeah I guess converting them into fonts require a third party software... unless I've mistaken.
