    Default Useful colours (I hope)

I've been collecting colour palettes from around the web (too lazy to create them myself ) and here are a few of the more useful ones. These are all the work of others, which they have kindly shared. All I did was create swatches in gif format showing the colour and the RGB value. I made a xar file to get around the 2 attachment limit. You can save the individual swatches to your hard drive from the bitmap gallery, if you wish.

I tend to work with them by importing a swatch to a layer and use the colour picker. Maybe they will be of use to someone else.

Below is a sample and link to the xar file. There are 5 different swatches in the xar file - Army, Brown and Gold, Foliage, Human Colourings and Flesh Tones.

Here you go Bob. one good deed etc. I've placed each palatte in a seperate xar file with named colours in Intensity order, so to use a palette just select the top group (not the bitmaps) copy and paste into a new xar page and you've automatically got the named colours in the colour bar.

By the way, for those of you have CorelDraw, it has a macro which will take any active palette (Corel has some good ones for earth tones, etc) and draw a series of squares each of which is filled with a color swatch from the active palette. You can export the result to CMX (you might have to do a page at a time) and then import that into Xara.
