    Default Arching words

About the only thing I haven't seemed to find to do is put a arc to a word. I watched the videos in Xara X, but don't remember seeing how to do it. Does anyone know how to do this? I'm sure this program allows this, right? I did a little searching on here and only came up with "logos" and no how to's. Thanks!

Try searching for text on a curve

This link will take you to the results of that search

    Type your wording.
Draw your curve, say an elipse or circle
Go to >ARRANGE menu and click fit text to path
You can then adjust the text on the curve, ie centre it, nudge it along to get it to the correct position. The curve can then be hidden by making the line have no colour.
Alternatively you can draw your line with the pen tool and click on it with the text tool and begin typing.
If you draw an elipse, remove the fill and convert to editable shapes you could then click on the line with the text tool and type.
    Good luck.

Masque is 100% correct but he forgot 1 step.

Make sure that you have both your curved line and your text selected before going to the Arrange menu. To do this you can either drag select both items or Ctrl+Click each item.

    Hope that helps.

I just type the words, although I sometimes use the above way too,
then I use the mould tool and adjust the line or word the way I want.
You have more control how to mould or arch the words.
be aware, not to become a ware.

Its one way to curve and reshape text to use the mould tool but I personally don't like the way it deforms the text as opposed to attaching it to a line and editing the line with the text to get what you need.
