Any new issues with XaraPRo?

I was wondering if anyone has confronted any issues with the new xara pro, mainly import and export features?

I just tried to import the attached simple eps file with no success. The eps was exported from SketchUp. I would very much like for this to work.

If anyone can advise what causes the problem I'd be grateful. If its a problem with the eps itself, maybe I can get the SketchUp developers to fix it. I suspect the problem is at the Xara end. As far as I know the eps will open in programs like photoshop.

Ross I tried all the .eps import options in Xtreme Pro and none of them worked. Looking at the contents of your file, it doesn't have any unusual eps statements.

So it looks like the problem is with the Xara Xtreme importer...

Charles... Paging Charles... Any chance the Xara team can look into this eps import problem?

There are some glitches with PDF exports, particulary when layers and mulitple pages are concerned.

They were acknowledged and added to XPRO bug list.

Perhaps when the PDF-import filter is released, it will be the solution.

Ross, just a bit of background info about eps.

The eps format was not originally intended to be used for importing and then editing the content, it was designed to be rendered on an output device (printer or plotter).

There is not a 'standard' eps format, as it seems every application that can output eps has some portion that is their own style or syntax. Output devices like printers and plotters are designed to simply ignore anything it does not understand and cannot render.
