Thread: .eps

    Default .eps

Hi, I know this has been addressed before, but a better .EPS import would be really helpful!

Just try downloading some of these EPS files and they all end up with black and white outlines only, all fillings are white (all color is gone):

this is how it should look like:

I haven't browsed through all the forum to find the answer, but is .EPS import going to be improved in future versions?

    Nostaw,

There are various types of .eps file, depending on the application that created it. The filetype is actually for rendering to an output device and not for import and editing in a programme.

If you select CorelDRAW 3.x EPS (*.eps) in the import window, you will get the colours as well as the lines.

Other .eps files may or may not import into Xara Xtreme Pro or any other application. To import the file you referenced, I tried all the .eps import filters until I found one that worked.

Soquili, as usual very helpful and replying ightning fast as ever! Thank you very much
What would this forum be without you?

Another question. The imported EPS is using CMYK color space. Is there a way to display CMYK in RGB color space, so that colors would look more like on the .gif image?

The image I post is in RGB. To see the colours as in the .gif use the Window Menu > Show Printer Colors > Simulate Print Colors
