I just found a bug in Xtreme Pro...

And i'm not liking it much.

I prefer my controls/bars to be along the bottom of the screen. Xara makes them smaller automatically and that gives me a bit more room. Plus, i prefer moving my mouse to that position rather than back'n'forth across the entire screen.

Anywho...

The bug i just found (i'm using the trial version atm), is when you open your brush palette menu(s) (via the Pen tool) they open DOWNward... and below/off the screen. When in fact they SHOULD be opening UPward where they're visible & accessible.

This bug would force me to have the brush library window open more than i'd care to. So could someone at Xara Ltd. please check this out and hopefully provide a solution for it?

FYI: Because this snafu would directly effect my workflow, it's something that i might well decide not to upgrade to this version because of. That's why i feel it's important to get it resolved.

Is this a new problem ? We haven't changed anything in that area for probably 6 years or more.

My brush palette won't open with the Pen tool, only with the Freehand and Brush tool, and then it of course opens downward since the control bar is at the top of my screen.
[Oops, I am using Xtreme, not Pro... not sure if this makes a difference or not. Sorry if it does.]

Mark, when I put the Tool Infobar at the bottom of the screen the Select Brush opens downward and is hidden behind the color bar. The Select Stroke open upward if Xara Xtreme Pro is maximised, but if the window is anything less than max the strokes open downward and are behind the color bar.

I've never tried this in any other version of Xara X, X¹, or Xtreme so I don't know if it is different than any previous version.

Interesting. Xtreme opens upward for me, Pro (trial) opens downward, and is indeed not easily workable as a result. The 'select stroke shape' opens upward for both.

Yes, thanks for reporting this. We seem to have managed to break this in current Xtreme Pro. We'll look at this.
