    Default XPE - blank picture?

Can XPE be forced to open a blank space rather than only ever a specific file?

I often want to paste and edit a photo - the new crop and histogram features make XPE closer to a critical toolset for me; the only option I have found is to open whatever file is in the open file dialogue and then paste from the clipboard.

I have had a poke in the registry and can't find a way...

    Thanks...
    Simon

The only way I can see would be to change the Target property of the shortcut you use to launch XPE to include a valid file name which would be opened automatically. Then name it something else when you save it as XPE will prompt you for a filename. The shortcut Target would look something like:

    "C:\Program Files\Xara\Xara XtremePro\Xara Picture Editor\XaraPictureEditor.exe" "C:\blank.jpg"

Note that "C:\blank.jpg" must be a vaild .jpg file that exists.
