    Default Flash animation problems

How the heck does one examine the 'properties' of an object, say a line of text? I'd like to know what the name is that I have assigned to it, but can't find a way to do this.

When I try a test run, this danged interface comes up with a whole slew of error warnings, when I know for a fact that everything has been 'named' correctly. For example, I get the following errors on a simple animation of varios text objects:

Frame 6: Can't tween name <manager> of text object: Text change
Frame 7: Duplicate tween name <manager> of text objects
Frame 7: Duplicate tween name <rahman> of text objects
Frame 7: Can't tween name <rahman> of text object: Text change
Frame 7: Duplicate tween name <ramesh> of text objects
Frame 7: Can't tween name <ramesh> of text object: Text change
Frame 15: Unpaired tween name <manager> of text object
Frame 15: Unpaired tween name <rahman> of text object
Frame 15: Unpaired tween name <ramesh> of text object

All of these errors are, in my opinion, incorrect, as I carefully kept a log of each text object I created and made CERTAIN I didn't duplicate anything accidentally.

Plus, there's little to no MEANINGFUL help available in XaraX-Pro! Go figure.

    Hi Ed,

It looks like you're trying to tween between 2 different text objects but without your file it's hard to say. Could you post your xar file so we can have a look at it?

If you have a named object in a frame which is not in an adjacent frame it will show as "unpaired" even if you have the same object in a later or earlier frame.
"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.

Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.

    flash must have names
so make sure to name the object in frame one
    copy frame
name the object with a different name
    make the move/rotation/color/alpha/squash,skew/size effect

Um ... if you rename it it won't tween ...

Hakoo you simply added a name to the object so that in frame 2 it has two names. The tweening works because the rectangles in both frames have the zz name. If you delete the zz name in frame two the tweening will not work.

You .xar file was edited to make the two different files attached. In the singlename file I simply deleted the ccc name you had in frame 2. In the twodifferentnames file I removed the zz name in frame 2. You can see that there is no tweening in the twodifferentnames file.
