I was having prolems getting the beta version of Xara Pro to run, I tried many times.
I downloaded the new trial version and still could not execute it. I tried it on my other computer running Windows 2000 and it did not work there either, which I thought was very strange. So, I downloaded it again on that machine and everything worked great. I copied the file to my XP system and it works beautifully over there also. As far as I can figure out the download did not complete correctly every time I tried downloading on the XP machine. However, I am now very happy and off to buy Xara Pro.

Glad you got ther ein the end. Sorry you experienced problems, but as always with a new product release our servers get hit pretty hard.
