    All : Thanks for suggestions.

Charles : I use only png - both when creating bitmap copies and when importing 'stick-ons'.

I need 300dpi for the 'human element' in the foreground and clients love the level of detail, so drawings grew larger over the last 10 years or so since I have exclusively used Xara for all my work. Of course there is no other software to even come close to Xara, if you needed this testimonial.

And Pro moves really faster, during work.

My way to deal with the 'impediment' of often-saving-large-files is to be working simoultaneously on two computers, side by side.

Again, I was trying to see if there was anything on the system / technical side that could be done to still speed things up.

I respect your prompt, as always, response.

    Nicolae,

I have nothing to contribute to the technical issue of speed, however I have to tell you that I find your work to be absolutely stunning!

These images are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, and even some which were clearly designed to illustrate a client's interests are still lovely enough to frame and put on anyone's wall!

    Brilliant stuff.

when you've stopped blushing, can you tell me how you do a drawing like that? the car alone or even a horse would be a huge accomplishment for me but you have so much detail in your drawing

    Hi Nicolae,

you've done a exellent job! Great scenes together with good colors and lovely detail level.

I would assume, your graphics are a combination of a 3D scene together with some great photos and a lot of post production within Xara Xtreme. Am I right?
Did you draw the people in your pictures or did you use Poser 3D models or photo objects?

    Regards,
    Remi

    a lot of work
    but well optimized
it's a litlle bit variegated .... but for this type of projects (building and real estates sales) this will work fine

about high-speed work with large files I thinked about something, but think that Charles can answer in detail on this.....

In options/tune ups/percentage of cash currently used...

here in my home comp there is showed 8% of 511M
file is semi-ready piccadilly fish-calendar 50x70 with 90% imported PSDs and TIFs at hi-ress - 43Mb total size...for now.. nevermind...
the question was - what exact showing this % from 511M ?

is this 511M is full amount of phisical RAM used from Xara or what?
And is it possible in some way to enlarge it?

P.S. My home PC is Athlon XP 2.2G on 400MHz FSB with only 3G of DDR Ram...
....will be a gross blinder to didnt use it on maximum
