Embeding Flash in Flash

Hello,

We all know it's possible to embed flash in HTML. Now it's even possible in this forum.

But does anyone know if it's possible to embed flash inside flash?

For example, several youtube videos inside another flash website?
It's important that this is flash inside flash and not a work around.

Yes it is; you can import either onto the stage or into the library; look in the File menu and click Import.

This is what I was trying to do with the bouncing ball; create simply a bouncing ball in XPro, and then import it to Flash where it goes on a path. I just needed to spend more time getting the timings right so that it bounced properly.

But I actually meant embeding from a web source. I mentioned youtube for that case.

I know it's possible importing (and it's not always the best choise) and it's possible to load a movie clip, but what if I need to embed youtube videos into another flash-based website.

On youtube there's a link you can copy and paste in your website, and with such embed the chosen video. Now how would you do it if your website is made completely in flash, without any work arounds (like putting half flash hald html) - it must be entirely in flash.

That's the catch

I went to actionscript.com and did a search on youTube. It comes up with a few ideas, the best one loads the flv from youtube but placing the flv seems to be a problem. It does work however (I've placed the clock above it just to show it's all Flash

I've read the tutorial, I still need to work on it.

I have totally accidently stumbled upon THIS link, seems that someone got ahead of me (so goes my original idea). This is EXACTLY what I want to accomplish.

Notice that each video has a flash menu on it's right side. You can browse through the videos without scrolling the web site. That's what I need to do.

The whole video and menu are embeded within a signle file.

That's what I need for my website. Anyone has any ideas on what to search for in the tutorials? Maybe there is a more simple method of achieving it.

in this program you load external movies(swf) or jpeg/jpg or text(.txt)(.xml/php/html only by a workaround(Scripting)
