jclements,
Cool, I never tried that, I'm going to have to give it a shot.export to PDF (turn of edges), import the PDF (it will be a vector),

Thanks to all of you for your imput; here is my task......
I created my new logo in SU and imported 3D Text from Elefont so i could export an eps file for the printer / signwriter.
what i want to do is bring a vector file [ i think] into Xtreme and put together my leterhead, with complements card layouts, etc however if i export a jpeg the quality of image isn't there. I thought that i could bring in the logo itself as a vector file and text the rest....
I don't have coreldraw, don't know what it would do for me as i generally do 3D design / modelling and visualisation.
attached is a file of the logo.
cheers again.
Andrew
Utiler, I like your logo, simple yet clean and original.
Utiler
Heck if you used elefont you've must have the font installed on your PC already (right?), if so just select the same TTF in Xara and type out "util design", then all you'd have to do import the image you posted above into Xara trace the 4 glyphs on the left.

Hi jclements, Now where getting somewhere....
Yes, that is what i waned to do and yes I do have the TTF file downloaded. I only did the logo and imported 3D text into SU because;
1. Familiarity
2. Limited time to get it to the signwriter
3. and i had fun!!
So the question is;
How do i import the 'paper-clip' into Xtreme? what format? As i mentioned earlier, i produced a jpeg of my signature for email and it is a bit 'fuzzy', so i thougth Xtreme could help sharpen things up!!.
Thanks again,
Andrew
You see a paperclip in that?
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

While I wouldn't look at the logo and think "paperclip". It does give the feel of the device. Once told what it is I can see the close inside cropped image of the clip. I think it's a smart little bug. Often times logo bugs are abstractions of an actual object, not literal pictograms.
Good job Andrew, though I do think your off your nut for doing the work in SketchUp.
