You can't.

But do not dispair.
Select your button, copy it to the clipboard.
Open a new Xtreme page
Paste the button
Alter your colour crimson
Copy to clipboard
Paste back to your original drawing
Repeat as often as required
Xtreme renames duplicate named colours each time it pastes back to the original

That was a rough one Egg. Thanks for your info. I just might point out, as it took me a good 15 + minutes to figure it out, that when you go to change it in the new window Xara puts the new colour at the end of the colour bar, to your right. I kept on trying to use the original crimson. It doesn't work.

Try the attached xar file. The button has got a Named Colour which is the only thing you need to alter.

I've been trying for hours to get this button made, having tried previously and given up then. I still can't get it right. After years of questions, you'd think there would be a tutorial video on this showing what to click and where because if you don't know what part of the program is called, but you're told to press it, then you don't find it and your stuck.

With your mini tutorial, I've managed to colour and resize the button.

Now if only Xara can produce a video, only a few minutes long, showing what to do to create and change the button, then hours, or collectively, months, years even would be saved on trying to work it out.
