Whenever I open X1 I get a dialog telling me "This version of Xara X is currently not registered for .WEB files. Do you want to register it?"

So I register it and I get the message again next time anyway.

Only a minor annoyance, but what to do?

And what does registering for .WEB files do for me?

    TIA

    Hello Bill,

Have you ever clicked on a .xar file and have xara open up? Xara x is the registered program to run .xar files. .web files are just another version of .xar files, designed mainly for use on the web. Personally, I would just reinstall xara, and this should clear it up.

If you don't want to reinstall Xara but just want to turn this remainder off, you may try to use XetupX.
Go to tab 'Advanced' and clear 'Check .WEB association' flag.

    Thanks guys.

I didn't realize it was referring to registering the extension with Windows. I can fix that easy enough.

Considering that very few people would have the plugin, and that "The plugin does not work in IE 5.5 and above", why would I put a WEB file on a website page?
