    Hi Tallis,

Are you wanting to fill one of those ellipse shapes?

Ungroup the imported .wmf and duplicate one of the ellipses. Create a quadrangle and place your duplicate ellipse over it. Select both the quadrangle and the ellipse use the Arrange Menu > Join Shapes. With the joined shape still selected use the Arrange Menu > Break Shapes. You will see a quadrangle. Drag the quadrangle to the side and you will see a solid shape that conforms to the inside of the ellipse you duplicated.

    Bob,

....it looks like each of your ellipses has two sets of strokes
In fact it's just the Propeller stroke which makes it look like a double stroke.

That's the stroke I was playing with earlier, but mine does not come out anywhere near what yours looks like. Yours seems to be two thin and two thick parts, each about the same size. Mine seems to be one long thin part and one short thin part. I see no profile or attributes tuning. How come we are getting different results?

Ahh! The drawing on the left of your image is a wmf file supplied by Tallis, not an Xtreme creation. Sorry for the confusion.

If you want to create an oval similar to that on the left:-
    Create an ellipse.
    Clone
    Offset down & left.
    Select All / Copy.
Select All / Arrange / Combine Shapes / Subtract shapes.
    Ctrl+Shift+V
Select the lower ellipse & Bring to Front.
Select both ellipses /Arrange / Combine Shapes / Subtract shapes.
You now have two halfs of a fat/thin ellipse.
