Why do these discussions always deteriorate into "My favorite program is better than yours"?

In this thread it is mainly due the argumentative nature of the poster above and below your post. They obviously have a not so hidden agenda of a trollish nature. That and the fact that they are bored enough to go into great repetitive detail.

This is THE most tactful reminder to stay on-topic I have ever read! I for one am excited about the announcement, but patiently awaiting it.

Bill is tactful, above and beyond the call of duty. Particularly when you consider the trollish nature of a certain couple of posters who seem determined to start a flame war.

Indeed. Xara has been in business-what? Over ten years? I wonder how long many of the doom and gloom merchants have been in business? Everybody and their dog thinks they can run the company better!

In the end all this muck is just idle speculation that means nothing. So sit and be patient till the product actually is announced. Then make your judgement on what's real, not on what you speculate!
