    Default MiniTut: Cropping Photos

I've found that JPEGs printed from Xtreme on my inkjet printer are of excellent quality. So I developed a quick and easy method of sizing and cropping them to standard sizes like 8 by 10, 5 by 7, etc.

The MiniTut can be found at http://interim.charliebutton.com/miniTut/.

Thanks. What about clipview? Isnt that better since you can go back and resize or adjust since the whole flower picture is still there untouched underneath? Or am I confusing the two...

    Hi Tallis,

When you Intersect Shapes using a bitmap, the complete bitmap is still there. If you use the Shape Editor tool to modify the resultant bitmap you can see the hidden portion or as much as you want to reveal.

With Clip View, you must remove the Clip View and edit the Shape that is used to perform the clip.

This information couldn't have come at a better time for me! I had bought a small circular sterling silver frame as a gift for my Mom, and wanted to put a picture of her favorite cat in it. I made a circle the exact size needed, followed your instructions, and here is my round picture.

Thanks so much for taking the time to share this with all of us!
