    Question blurred edge

    Hi

    as you will see from the attached file I've created a circle cut out the centre and placed it over the picture.

    What I want is first to make the picture ovoid which I've tried to do usingthe combine- add/subtract/intersect and slice commands and I've failed.

    My second step would have beem to make the red area white or grey and feather it as you often see in old sepia photos.

    Can someone tell me where I'm going wrong in my method?

    Hi

    Yes and no, bit difficult to describe but imagine a misty look to the edge of the photo or perhaps a snow storm around the edge

    Hm! as you say difficult but I gave it a swirl is that nearer Ian ?
