Default The Pelican Brief (or How to create a Motion Blur)

Those of you who check the Xtreme Plugins forum from time to time may have been following the recent "realistic motion blur" thread using Xara Xtreme. This is something that might appear to be difficult when, using Photoshop or other raster apps, this would appear to be so easy.

Here is my take on it, the Pelican Brief (apologies in advance for the rather large image):

    Excellent explanation.
Every day's a new day, "draw" on what you've learned.

That is a very powerful technique, Big Frank. Thanks for sharing it!

    Sculptex,
You need to set the line width to "None"
and increase the number of steps.

cheers andy, but the problem is that the 'tween stages of the bland do not have the transparency on them. I left only a few interpolates and the lines on to show the problem more clearly

    Sculptex,

    Open your file.
    Remove the blend.
Select each of the two shapes and Ungroup.
ReApply the transparencies to each shape.
    Now reblend.
I think this time you'll get the desired effect.

    Sculptex,

The Blur Effect is the opposite to the Sharpen Effect and comes as standard. If you click on the Enhance plugin it opens the same window as the Auto-Enhance. If you adjust the slider on the bottom right, this either sharpens or blurs your image.
