    Question Contour Tool

I made a Record, using the contour tool, is there anyway to manipulate the surface of the end result? (to make like light reflecting off the groves)

(( and, of course, since I was going to Post, I can not find <sigh> will find tonight and post tomorrow -maybe some other Fun things I have be doing ))

I found it easier using the blend tool:

"Intbel" ... "Can't" is not an option.

Compliance is futile. Resistance is futile. Just do your own thing an' ignore 'em.

    Here's another method using bevels.

Great record! Now all we need is a record player..they are bbecoming obsolete now you know..I hunted for quite a bit to find one to try and reproduce some records I have.

Try a conical fill gradient on a circle/oval with multiple fill handles for black and white.

Nice records, both of you. That must be a record!

    I think Raymond's is a 33 and a third rpm and mine is a 78 rpm

You can see there are multiple songs on his record

I miss the old vinyl records, that white noise in the background with the occational pop and click were somehow more appealling than the sterile digital recordings.

Turntables are still being marketed by at least Sony, Corp.
Record players can be had by Emerson and Crosley, or whomever is using the name these days. Look at your local electronics retailer. I found a Sony at a local Best Buy about three years ago (130 USD).
I had found a bunch of my old vinyl and my late brother's and older sister's at my mom's when cleaning out the house a few years ago. They do sound nice after a little cleaning.
My kids can get rid of them after I'm gone. Maybe they won't after listening to me play them.

I still have loads of vynyl. 45s and 33s. No 78s though.
    And a turntable.
Still use cassettes in the car.
I think the sound system cost as much as the car which cost me £350.oo via e-Bay. Passed its M.O.T.today with flying colours. Not bad for a 20 yo car. They don't make 'em like that anymore
