    Default Stone wall minitutorial

Like I wouldn't have other things to do, I did this minitutorial for you. Well, actually I did for myself to repeat and memorize my stone wall technique (but it does sound more generous the first way, doesn't). This technique can of course be refined, like my example at the gallery where I added more texture and moss.

Cheers for the tutorial. A good use of the Trace tool.

Here's one I completed following your instructions.

    Thanks gnurf,
very good mini-tut...and easy enough for me to re-do. Tried it out - and it worked. That saved my rainy holiday!

This is a bit of a weird comment, but when I saw Egg's implementation, what came to mind is what happens, say to a river or steam bed when it dries up and the ground cracks... with a bit of tweaking in the colors and perspective, this technique could be used to draw something like that. (Hope that makes sense! )
