Default Scan an image into Xara Xtreme?

I've been looking thru the help menu and other than using a photo CD am not able to discover if Xara X is able to import by twain from scanner. I have printed photos the 'old' way and use a scanner to get them into psp, then have to import them to Xara X. is it possible to scan directly into Xara X?
    thanks

No TWAIN support. Maybe in the future?

Another one of those things that has been on the wish-list for the best part of 10 years. If a software app is a bed of roses, you can't complain about a few thorns.
If someone tried to make me dig my own grave I would say No.

    Not directly,
but you can "Link" to Xara Xtreme from within some scanning software.
Example: From within the scanning software program "Paperport" ( I use PaperPort 7 ) you can Link your newly scanned image into Xtreme.

    - First, setting up Xtreme as one of the programs you want to link to, by clicking File > Links > Create new link.
    - Set up the options and icon for Xtreme.
    Then
    - Scan your image from within Paperport, then click File > Links > Xara Xtreme.
Xtreme will open with your newly scanned image in view.

The benefit of handling your scanned images this way is that Paperport is scan organizing program, so a copy of your scanned image will be saved within the program for easy future access.

    Andrew...
if I can export from psp (what ever I scan) what is the point of using something like Paperport?

As I said in the last sentence, to organize your scans.

What is the point of using any program that only produces bitmap images?
The real gem would be if Xara could aquire scans, and immediately convert the raster images into vectors.
    Now that would be something!

now that's exactly what I was hoping for -- scans converted to vector images. bit wishful thinking, I guess.

So here's a new question...can imported scans into Xara X be put into the clip art gallery / name gallery and be organized this way?
