Scanning Photos

Is there a way to import photos in Xara X via a scanner?

I do it with my Canon scanner quite frequently, I tell it what program to open and then I am in Xara.

Not directly. Xtreme doesn't have this function, I'm afraid. My scanner doesn't give me the option of choosing a program to open, so I have to aquire the scan with another app and import into Xtreme.
