    Unhappy text

    Hi

    having just started to use the software I havethe unenviable job of creating some text in "silver" for wedding invitations.

    the attached file is the masterbut when I export it to png it becomes how shall I say "poor" I've exported in true colour

    Do tell

    what am I missing?

    Hi, somebody else has to answer your question about the text in Xara3D, but if you are in the lucky possesion of XaraX or XaraXtreme, you can create a splendid silver with named colors. Take a look at this month's tutorial in the XaraXone http://www.xaraxone.com/tutorials/sep06/ I know, this is a fork, but the principle is the same.

    Ian, I loaded your Invite.x3d, then exported a png with the true-color settings, and it looks just the same to me as the X3D screen. Perhaps you could post your png so that we can see how it compares?

    Also, MarciaB's suggestion is a good one, too.

    thanks for that, as you can open the file ok I searhed a little deeper and if Im import the png into xtreme, paintshop pro it's ok it's when I import it into Serif that I loose definition.

    I'll find a serfi forum and ask why there
