    Default Button Image Example

There have been a few questions about buttons lately. Here is an example of a button design using named colour.

I hope this may encourge some to design their own buttons. There is a mouse off and a mouse over example.

Editing the button-colour also changes the colour tint of the chrome part of the button.

    The .xar file attached.

Well, there another technique learned. Kind of embarassing to admit I'm learning stuff from a kid still but what to do. The glass button was a cinch but the chrome had me scratching my head for a minute or two......question, why haven't you posted the glass button here also......I downloaded it yesterday but seem to have lost it then could not find the thread again......God, I'm getting worst than Bob in forgetting stuff.......frank

    Hi Frank,

I think you are confusing me with someone else...
Kind of embarassing to admit I'm learning stuff from a kid
My son (36 years old) says I rode dinosaurs to school, and my brother said I was 3 days older than dirt

I think you are referring to the Gel Button at this link http://www.talkgraphics.com/showpost...9&postcount=11 I was a bit lazy with that one as it doesn't use any named colours.

Lucky you, my daughter thinks I am a dinosaur and since your still a couple of years younger than me that makes you the kid. Take it while you can......and yes, I found the thread by going into your profile and searching your threads. Still, this is a button thread so post the button here is what I says, says I......frank

There we go, just got something new again. Never used the conical fill before except when examining what the different fills did. I don't know if I would have ever thought of adding different colours to it like a liniar fill, plus I was looking at the chrome like it was a border instead of a background. That's the advantage of posting the xara files, they can be taken apart and analized. Thanks again Bill. Now, maybe it's bedtime for the younger people out there.........frank

edit.....okay, here's one for you. See, even 7 left thumbs can sometimes do things
