Yeah now I like it as well - the other one was too blurred and all over the place - that's about the best new image that I've seen on here, of something truely amazing - rather than the standard dross.

    Hi AccessD,
Great use of mono colour, or what ever it is called. Should be used as the logo in front of the forth coming release of X2. I agree with James the best drawing for a while!
Have downloaded drawing to look at the shading and highlights. Thanks for uploading the xara file.

People stay on topic - no flaming!

For the posters who's posts were deleted...

We might not all agree with the term "dross" as used my James, but it's was NOT directed at any one individual. The comment that was directed at an individual was for Dmitry - and it was a positive one.

---------- *edited* "Dross" might not the best choice of words... However, James has many times explained that he is looking at imagery - he doesn't "really know" anyone at TG, so I'm sure he doesn't *hate* any of us personally... Let's just leave it as "James doesn't enjoy some imagery"...

And there are no specific members mentioned in this thread.

The on-topic things here would be to comment on the most generous contribution of the person that started this thread - Dmitry----------

And yes, it is a fantastic illustration, and yes, perhaps better technically than many recent images posted here - but there is room for everyone. You post you learn - you post some more.

    Dmitry,
Thank you for posting and including the .xar file. A fine effort which will keep me busy trying to match it for some time. You have once again set the bar very high.

I agree with Risto here and when I first replied to the thread I did not want acknowledge the remark by James but just let the remark die. When I post I hope people tell me what they think of the drawing whither it is good or bad.

Think this drawing is a five star one

Glad to see you're keeping busy, Risto.
