I well remember my grandchildren when they were tiny bundles when I held them and sang all my old family lullabies to them and then subsequently great pals playing their makebelieve games. when my car became an army tank, a spitfire, an ambulance, an army lorry etc. Reading them stories till they fell asleep. A hundred and one adventures, where roads became crocodile infested rivers, trees, dragons and so on. Picnics, fishing trips as well. Now they are grown up not so much fun but still loved. Who knows if they in turn have children, Old Great Grand Pappy is willing to do it all again.
