    Default Problem with export of gif & png transparencies

    I've tried All the different options on exporting a simple shape with a transparent background and depending on the options I select, I either get no transparency (a white background) or the shape itself becomes transparent.
    Has anyone else had this problem. I'm not sure what to do about this.

    Also, when I select True Color and Alpha for a transparency export, (gif or png), the Image A on the export screen shows up blank.??????

    See if this post helps you on transparency.

    Also, if you are having difficulty with a particular file using PNG+ALPHA channel, perhaps you could post the XAR file here?

    Here's the file. Also, I have tried what you depicted with the same results as before.

    Wouldn't you get what you want if the objects on the background layer are moved to a foreground layer?
    I assume you want both the red and yellow objects?

    Yes, the problem is, your shape is on a background layer.
    1. Drag the layer from "Background layers" above to "Foreground layers".
    2. Select the red circle and choose Menu "File" -> "Export..." (Ctrl+Shift+E).
    3. Choose a filename and PNG as file format
    4. Choose "Palette options" -> "Color depth" -> "True color + Alpha"
    5. Choose "Options" -> "Transparent"

    Yep!
    That was my mistake. I didn't look at the Layer Galery; didn't realize I had it on a different layer.
