Xtreme wont install

I upgraded from X1 to Xtreme.

Tried to install Xtreme.

At the end of the install I recived the following eror message-

"Unable to determine the location of the previous installation of Xara Xtreme"

I did install the Xtreme trial version, but deleted the file aftre the trial ended, perhaps thats th ereason for the eror message?

Any one have any ideas on a work around/

Not sure if this will work, but what if you download and install the trial version, then install the paid version over the trial?

Are you sure you got the Xtreme, not the update patche?

to unlock the paid version, u just type in the unlock code in the trial version and it converts to full paid version. no separate file download.

yes, i have the xtreme, not the patch. thank you for replying jim and helping me find a work around to this.

Did you try Gary's suggestion, and if so, what happened?

How did you uninstall the trial version? Through 'Add-Remove programs'? Is anything listed in 'Add-Remove programs'? If so, try uninstalling it, and then doing as Gary said to do. Let us know what happens.

I tried all suggestios.

Xara replied with the answer- I had to edit my registry and delete the Xtreme files. I was able to get the install to work.
