    Hi Folks,

Well, wouldn't you know it. I get an extra day off this week (no clients on Saturday, so I took the day off) and I ended up with a head cold!! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/frown.gif *sniffle* *sniffle*

So I decided to modify my templates with new color bars and other extras.

    1) New 72 Colors color bar, named colors.
    2) Color block included for use with the eye dropper tool (just another reason why I wish Charles would have added in a stand alone eye dropper tool instead of invoking the Color Editor each time).
    3) Page Shadow is turned off
    4) Peremeter Guides are in place and
    5) Snap to Guides is turned on

Same name except I add in a RAM at the end of each template so they won't overwrite the default templates. There is ONE new template added in. The 800 X 800 256 Block Grid is the one. I was working on a color chart and wanted to create a template for that work. So it's included in there. You might find some need for it, who knows! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/rolleyes.gif

In any case there are 8 templates total. Let me know what you think. Don't be cruel! http://www.talkgraphics.com/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

Gary used to have a standalone color picker (SL-Picker) in the Xone's Shareware section. That's still my #1 go-to for a reference eyedropper.

Since Ladi's picker is an independent app, I can use it anywhere in my system and I can copy the RGB values into objects in different apps without switching gears. Is that what you meant by an "independent eyedropper"?

Yes, but within the system but set up so you can go outside the program to pick a color from the desktop or a web page, etc....... I guess I'll go get the SL Picker and see how it works. I've downloaded some freestanding pickers before and really didn't like the functionality all that much. I much rather prefer the eye droppers to exist within the program and as I said can also function out side the program for choosing colors. The color bar I put together is sometimes faster because you can "scroll" very quickly up and down to find the needed tone. I use it as a complement to the 72 color row on the bottom.
