Default Which color would you choose?

I'm not sure, which color is the best one for this illustration. Please be so kindly and open the graphic with Xara Xtreme and drag the color "Haut hell" from the color palette to the "Color editor"-icon and change the color.

    Thank you for your assistance.

I think it just fine as it is Remi, I tried various colours but your original looks better.

    Thanks, Norman!

I'm not satisfied with the coloring. There are still another things to do on this graphic (eyes, mouth, hair, ...), but if I'm not able to find a good color of her skin, it's not worth worrying about.

And my thanks goes to Netherland, the country of the "plug in king"...
    (only kidding)

Thanks Ankhor, perhaps I have to reconsider the coloring as a whole.

Next time you have problems with skintones just find a picture and
import it with a nice skincolor and take the eyedropper to steal
    a real skintone

Yes, I've used this method often, but this graphic looks so "unhappy" if I choose a light color as skin. I don't know why.

Perhaps I need a break with this one.

    Hi Remi,
By the standard of your drawings that you have shown in the gallery you have shown good understanding of colours. Surely the question you you be asking is where it iis going to be shown, what type of format will it be displayed on or with, what is the background, what or who is the target.
    Design is thinking made visual.

I just used a linear fill on the skin tone and eyes, from lower left to upper right (light to dark.) and some transparency on the jaw line and hair bang (the one falling over the face.)

I always think that colour tends to follow the purpose/feel that you want when viewing the illustration, so that you can help set the right mood. What will the illustration be used for?
