    Default white shading

    Hi

I created three bars as in the attached file.

When I export it as a gif I gain a white line on the left.

I imported the gif and placed it on the black background so it can be seen.

Please tell what have I missed?

    thanks

    Hi,

the thing occurs, because the width of your bars as well as the position contains fractions of pixels.

Xara tries its best to represent the "half pixel" and introduces a lighter (or darker) line.

The best (and to my knowledge only) way to overcome this, is to always make sure that:

    1) The main object has dimensions of "full" pixels. In your case 26x18 px and not (for example) 26.5x18 px

    2) The object is positioned at a "full pixel" location. In your sample file at 454 / 315 px and not 454.5 / 315.4 or anything like that.

I try to attach your file with these minimal changes that should export fine..
