Is it at possible for the Xara3D program to see all the codecs installed or how for example could I get the program to able to use a standard DV Avi codec (which is installed on the system) for exporting.

Hi Dean,
I do not believe there is a way of having Xara3D use other codecs.

The program must get its list of available codecs from somewhere. I have codecs installed but Xara3d doesnīt show them in the available codecs for exporting. DV AVI is one of the most widely used codecs but its not available. Is it possible to get this included or is there a way to do it myself ( ie. registry entry etc ).
Dean,
You may have many codecs as most of us do, but unless the program is written to look for an other than the one is has code to use, they are never even searched for.
Perhaps Antony will read this post and be able to provide an answer from the Xara developers.

I'm not sure if this is what you are looking for, but when you use the "Export as Screensaver" option under "File", there is an option to choose which codecs you want to use. At least the list shows what is included in Xara3D. See the included screenshot.
thats exactly the problem. This list doesnīt show all the codecs installed on a system. And I donīt think that they are codecs that come with Xara3D as by me it shows "cineformHD" which is installed but that definately wouldnīt come included with Xara3D. I just donīt understand the logic as to what it lists or doesnīt list.
