    Bill Darlin.....I'm a hopeless case!

I followed those directions....cloned the pink fill....reduced the size to remove the .3 pix.....colored it red....exported at 300 dpi and 100% quality.
Then imported it back to use as fill....got the lines.
Tried using it through the fill gallery...same lines

What am I missing here? I'm sure it's something simple....

    Thanks again...Belle

Humph...now I'm trying to upload the file...the screen opens...I select the file...but it doesn't show up....might be the terrible internet that's here...we're traveling for work.

Create a rectangle that is a little bit smaller than your fill pattern.

Make sure the dimensions are even pixels.

Set the rectangle's outline and fill to none.

With the rectangle selected, export a bitmap and use the True Color color depth option.

    That should work.

Belle, I forgot to mention that before exporting I also made the outline size as None. If you use the cross-hatch in the lower left of the screen to give the outline no colour, it does not remove the outline.

    THAT'S IT!!!!

Bill, you're a genius....It's been driving me nuts for ages (I know, not a long trip)
I frequently export a fill to use as a seamless tile......and always make sure that there is no line.....sometimes it exports fine, other times it has a line and I've never been able to figure out the difference.

And guess what...sometimes I set it to no line at the top....other times I've just clicked the box at the bottom to make the line clear....duh.....it makes perfect sense now that I think about it....making the line clear doesn't remove it....I've been exporting a clear line...which turns white once I bring it back in to use it.....

    Thanks sooooo much!!

Belle, it took me awhile to understand that one as well. I think it was Christine or Penny that first mentioned that there was a difference between 'no colour outline' and 'no outline'; then it finally sunk into my thick skull
