cloning an image

Hi

I need to create the attached logo. the squares are not a problem but the curved sections am I better to start with a rectangle and re shape or copy them using the shape editor tool?

I would use the shape edit tool to define several basic nodes. Then, use the Shepe Edit tool to push the lines into the desired shape. The cursor will change when you get close to the line. Rich

We all have different ways of doing this.

I like to create an outlline with the Shape Editor Tool adding control points at the starting and ending parts of the curve.

Drag the line segments with the Shape Editor Tool to create curves that match those of the logo.

The fill appear to be a simple Linear fill. Use the Color Editor's Color Picker (the eyedropper) to sample (copy) the colors.

Flip the green shape, change the colors, and position it on the logo.

the pictures were extremely usefull. I know the nice people on the forum would help me but I much prefer to "do it myself" so that next time I can do it easily.

No, Flop is what we call the process of flipping a flippin image

Flop is the partner of Flip, e.g. Flip Flop.

Flop as in, I am so tired I think I will just flop down on the bed.
