It seems that imported GIFs appear same size, while jpegs, for example, need to be scaled up. Does anyone know if this can be corrected? Thanks.

can it be you are loading them into a larger scale screen from the source sreen dimensions?
I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this, but GIFS open to their actual size, while JPEGS open as dots, which I must then scale up.
Hi Joel and welcome to the Xtreme Conference.
Both file formats are bitmaps. GIF files are limited to 256 colors while JPEG files have 16.7 million colors (give or take a few).
GIFs export at the screen resolution, which is usually 96 dpi. So to get a GIF to be 1:1 you must design it at 100% zoom factor in Xtreme.
JPEG files can be any size. So, if you import a JPEG at 300dpi (print resolution) it will display on a web browser approximately 300% larger.
Does this make any sense?
