Default Wrapping Text Around an Object

I have been trying to wrap text around an object as in Workbook 33. Even when I increase tracking, as suggested in the workbook, the spacebar does not move the text. I'm going to attach my file. Perhaps someone can tell me what I'm doing wrong.

Sorry. I didn't think my previous post was successful. I didn't mean to make a duplicate post.

    Hi
If you put your cursor at the point you want to move the text and press the SPACE bar I guess you are finding the text will not move. This has, I've always assumed, something to do with formating of the imported text.
If you place your cursor and press ENTER the text still will not move but if you then press the SPACE bar it should move as expected.

Hmmm? I hate to say this but is does not work for me either. Ack!

Anybody (other than the author) have any ideas why this is?

I know it worked when I did the tutorial. Honest.

Nope, Masque. When I press enter, I get a new line. Then the SPACE bar, still nothing happens. By the way, I didn't paste the text; I keyed it in.

    Okay.

    1. Hit enter TWICE. This opens up a blank line.
    2. Put the cirsor at the beginning of the blank line.
    3. Use the space bar to move the cursor outside the envelope.
    4. Then press delete to bring the line up to the cursor.

    This seems to work consistently.

I'm not sure what you're trying to do, but I just selected both, arrange - text to curve - and got this:

No, Drifter, that's not what I was trying to do. I finally got it to work. See my XAR file (attached), and my previous post.

Because you have a fixed line width for your paragraph, you have to delete the extra spaces in the line above the one you want to move. Once those spaces are gone, you can move the text with the cursor. Or, much easier, hit enter at the end of the line above the one you want to move and the extra spaces are moved down. Then you can space over as far as yoiu need to.
